Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Beansense Inc. (“we”, “us”), the company that operates Salestead CRM (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

1. Your account

You must give accurate information, keep your password secure and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for activity in your account and workspace, including what your teammates do. Tell us promptly at hello@salesteadcrm.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Plans, billing and taxes

  • The Starter plan is free. Growth and Scale are paid subscriptions billed per paid seat, monthly or yearly, in Canadian dollars in Canada and US dollars elsewhere.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Paid seats include owners, admins and members; viewers are free.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Applicable sales taxes (such as GST/HST) are calculated at checkout and added to your bill. Stripe may act as the seller or merchant of record for your purchase, in which case its terms for that transaction also apply.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

3. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime in Settings → Billing → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. Fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law or stated in writing by us.

4. Your data

You own the data you put into the Service. You give us permission to host, process and display it only to provide, secure and support the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to collect and use the personal information you store, including obtaining any consent your contacts and website visitors must give, and for complying with anti-spam laws such as Canada’s CASL when you send messages.

You can export your data while your account is active. After an account is closed, we delete workspace data as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law; send spam or unlawful messages; upload malware; store information you have no right to hold; attempt to access other workspaces or bypass security or usage limits; resell the Service without permission; or interfere with its operation. We may suspend accounts that put the Service or others at risk.

6. Connected services and AI

Integrations with third-party services (such as Google, Meta, Microsoft or Stripe) are governed by those providers’ terms, may need their approval, and may change or stop working when they change their products. AI features generate suggestions that may be incomplete or wrong. Review them before relying on them; you are responsible for decisions and messages based on them.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and secure, but it is provided “as is” and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features; if we remove a significant paid feature, we will give reasonable notice.

8. Our property

The Service, including its software, design and the Salestead name and logos, belongs to Beansense Inc. These Terms do not give you rights to them beyond using the Service. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and compensate us for claims arising from your data, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or others’ rights.

11. Ending these Terms

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, or if required by law, with notice where reasonable.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, unless consumer protection law where you live gives you other rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For significant changes we will give account owners at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
